Job Summary
Regular full-time Laboratory Assistant - Production in Vancouver, BC, rotating shifts (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00) within the Supply Chain Operations West team. Responsibilities include receiving, assessing and producing whole blood, apheresis platelets and plasma into requested blood components; assisting the laboratory manager in development and evaluation of procedures; maintaining documentation and inventory records in compliance with operational procedures; performing routine maintenance of equipment and work areas to ensure safety and quality of blood products. Requires completion of Grade 12 plus Laboratory Assistant Certificate and one year of related experience; effective communication and teamwork; ability to operate related equipment; physical ability to lift up to 10 kg; ability to organize workload and work under pressure.
