Job Summary
Laboratory Assistant in East Hanover, NJ to support routine laboratory and clerical tasks in a regulated cannabis operation. Responsibilities include following SOPs and GDP for lab work, complying with state regulations for cannabis licenses, handling hazardous waste safely, maintaining accurate documentation and logs, inventory and receipt of supplies, sample accessioning and preparation using aseptic techniques, data entry in LIMS or similar systems, and general lab cleaning and organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is expected, along with strong attention to detail and collaborative teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work collaboratively with co-workers
- Able to meet the eligibility requirements for employment within a cannabis business set by the state of New Jersey
- Follows organizational policies and procedures for laboratory operations and complies with all state-specified rules and regulations for cannabis licenses, cannabis transport and cannabis testing
