Laboratory Assistant

Job Summary
Inspect specimen samples to verify accuracy and quantity per study protocol, then accession specimens into the inventory system and perform data entry. Coordinate all biological laboratory sample shipments for storage and follow up with vendors on reagents and preventive maintenance contracts. Provide daily routine tasks and support to Laboratory Technicians and the Lab Director. This role requires a minimum diploma, two years of related industry experience, and the ability to work 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Saturday with rotational Saturdays and public holidays. Required Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in any field
- At least 2 years of industry experience in related similar position
- Team-worker
- Detail-oriented
- Good time management skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- 8:30am to 5:30pm to be worked over 5 days between Monday to Saturday
- Saturdays being rotational
- Able to work on public holidays
