Job Summary
Collect and process laboratory specimens through phlebotomy, ensuring proper collection, routing, and storage. Implement corrective actions when needed while operating general lab equipment such as centrifuges and alarms in a biological hazard environment. Champion safety, compliance, and quality control standards throughout the facility. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding protected health information accessed only for job duties. This role offers a base hourly pay rate of $19.74 to $21.71 with scheduled weekly hours of 40.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms
- This role will provide routine access to protected health information (PHI)
- Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality and abide by all applicable privacy and security standards
- Employees are expected only to access PHI when required to fulfill job duties
Desired Qualifications
- 1 - 2 years of related experience in clinical laboratory, data entry, or production
