Job Summary
Lab Assistant, Immunology at the Sherbrooke location provides general technical support within the department. Primary duties include washing, drying and storing all equipment used by technicians and analysts; performing maintenance/cleaning of basic laboratory equipment; ordering disposable materials and chemicals through the internal store and/or external supplier using the purchasing software; and keeping the work area and storage room clean and organized. Requires a High School Diploma, physical ability to lift up to 20 kg, and a willingness to learn in a laboratory environment. Full-time, permanent position (37.5 hours/week) at a starting salary of $17.50/hr with potential overtime. Location: 1580 rue Ida-Métivier, Sherbrooke, QC. Schedule mainly Monday to Friday with benefits and opportunities for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.)
- Open-minded and willing to learn in a laboratory environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work independently.
