Job Summary
Conduct general laboratory services including specimen collection, blood component preparation, pre-analytic processing, waived testing, and moderate complexity testing. Manage patient and specimen registration while performing related clerical tasks. Complete required initial and six-month competency assessments for identified testing. Utilize computer and telephone skills to execute repetitive tasks for prolonged periods. Requires high school graduation or GED equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- HS grad or GED Equivalent
- successfully completion of an initial and six (6) month competency for identified testing
- successfully completion an annual competency assessment for identified testing
- working knowledge of computers
- telephone skills
- ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program with experience in laboratory or coursework in biological, chemical or related science
- Experience in waived or moderate complexity
