Job Summary
Laboratory Assistant responsible for collecting blood specimens and handling/processing them for laboratory testing. Performs pre-analytic and analytic workflow tasks, enters patient/test orders, distributes reports, maintains specimen integrity, and ensures regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, documenting quality-related tasks, coordinating specimen recollections, communicating results, and supporting lab operations. Requires vaccination as a condition of employment and E-Verify participation; location is Ukiah, CA with night-shift, full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required in CA; Preferred in OR and HI
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Experience in Phlebotomy in acute care environment: Preferred
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPTI) license: Required in CA; Preferred in OR and HI
- Phlebotomy Tech (CPT) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician II (CPTII): Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required
