Job Summary
Laboratory Assistant responsible for performing laboratory tests following established quality control and infection control procedures, scheduling routine tests, processing specimens, maintaining accurate electronic records, organizing and filing lab records, ensuring proper labeling and documentation of specimens, communicating with nursing/medical staff, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and transporting specimens to the hospital or designated laboratory facility as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must hold a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certificate
- Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and communication)
- Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently
- Must maintain an excellent attendance record
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have access to a personal vehicle for job-related travel
