Job Summary
Collect, prepare, and process diverse patient specimens including blood, urine, and tissue for diagnostic tests. Assist with specimen processing tasks such as labeling, centrifuging, and aliquoting while preparing reagents and solutions per established protocols. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, perform routine tasks like washing glassware and sterilizing instruments, and assist with data entry and record-keeping to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain a foundational understanding of laboratory procedures and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail while supporting the patient's age-specific needs. Obtain a Fire Safety Card within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- California Phlebotomy Technician License (CA PHLEB Lic)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (AHA BLS)
- Fire Safety Card
