Job Summary
Laboratory Assistant at ALS in North Vancouver, BC. Responsible for production chemistry in the Wet Chemistry digestion lab, managing workflow efficiently, performing daily equipment calibration, preparing reagents per SOP, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and generating written reports using MS Word/Excel. Requires problem-solving ability, independent work with minimal supervision, good manual dexterity, strong English communication, and adherence to safety policies. Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Chemical Science or Technology or a related field preferred
- Completion of some post-secondary courses in Chemistry or a related field required
- Ability to lift up to 20kg (45lbs)
- Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 7.5 hours per day
- Working day, afternoon, and graveyard shift including weekends
