Laboratory Animal Technician I in the Insourcing Solutions team in Bethesda, MD. Maintain and monitor health, technical, and physical environments in the animal care facility; perform daily health assessments and clinical observations; provide treatments to lab animals; conduct animal handling, restraint, weaning, injections (Sub-Q, IP, tail vein), blood/tissue collections, anesthetic use, and post-operative observations. Provide environmental enrichment, QA activities (health surveillance, HVAC, shipments, sanitation), and accurate records of importations, breeding, and health checks. Assist in assessing training needs and develop/present to staff and PIs; prepare and submit written reports, charts, logs, and inventories.
