Job Summary
Laboratory Analyst II at SGS responsible for performing analyses as defined in the Matrix of Laboratory Test and Analyses and reporting results according to the Quality Management System. The role includes troubleshooting technical problems, coaching Lab Analysts I, lab technicians, and lab aides; reviewing samples for routine tests; performing preparation of reagents and standard solutions; participating in proficiency and correlation programs; witnessing analyses and conducting method validation; maintaining documentation, and contributing to QHSEE/quality and safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- University or College degree in BS Chemistry, BS Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering or Agrichemistry, and related sciences
- Professional license depending on the course and as required by law (preferred)
- At least 2 years laboratory-related experience
- Core professional/technical knowledge and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
- Computer-literate with laboratory-oriented capabilities
- Ability to work on weekends and shifting schedules when required
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing standard laboratory data and reports
- English language proficiency
