Job Summary
Laboratory Analyst – Ecotoxicology responsible for performing analyses on samples and complex sample preparation; breeding monitoring of algae, daphnia, ceriodaphnia, fathead, and trout; maintenance of equipment and aquarium systems; following SOPs to ensure accuracy and quality of work; ensuring quality control criteria are met for all reported data; understanding and troubleshooting analyses; providing input to corrective action procedures; ensuring deadlines are met; maintaining a clean, organized work area; contributing to daily and weekly planning; availability for overtime and weekend work; full-time position (37.5h/week) in Saint-Laurent, QC, Canada; overtime may be required May–December; comfortable working on your feet for long hours.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Biology, Bioecology or related diploma/experience
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Good record keeping skills and attention to detail
- Dynamic, energetic, motivated and have a positive outlook
