Labor Relations Specialist

Job Summary

Facilitate meetings with unions, owners, and contractors while providing accurate interpretation and guidance on collective agreements for association members. Promote early dispute-resolution strategies, support grievance and arbitration processes, and participate in collective bargaining to implement new agreements and wage schedules. Build effective relationships with Building Trade Unions, deliver training sessions on labor relations topics, and assist with report creation and database maintenance. Research industry trends and compare external information for bargaining preparation, while participating in multi-union discussions to address job-site issues. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction sector best practices and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Educational background in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or Industrial Relations
  • Experience working in labor relations within nuclear or DOE environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel frequently
  • Ability to pass DOE security background screening, including alcohol and drug testing

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the construction sector and building trade unions
  • Experience in collective bargaining and contract implementation
