Job Summary
Labor Planning Manager at Wayfair drives site staffing and daily operating plans for the Fulfillment Network. Responsibilities include creating daily operating plans, aligning plans with Site Director and network priorities, monitoring plan accuracy and variances, contributing to mid-long term shift planning, forecasting demand, analyzing historical data, and managing KPIs (Service Level Commitments). The role requires coordinating with Network Planning, Field Industrial Engineering, Process Definition and Standards Excellence to enable performance improvements, engaging at the shift level to adapt plans in real time, and facilitating problem-solving when goals are not met. Strong candidate will have 3+ years in distribution/manufacturing, capacity planning or industrial engineering background, proficiency with Google Suite, SQL/GBQ, data visualization tools, Six Sigma/Lean, and a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of operational experience in distribution or manufacturing
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (engineering, economics, math, statistics), business or equivalent
- Capacity Planning experience or Industrial Engineering background focused on operations flow and labor management
- Technical aptitude in multiple systems; understanding of Google Suite, Data Visualization platforms, SQL/GBQ
- Strong understanding in the use of technical/statistical tools to drive process improvements
- Six Sigma and Lean techniques knowledge
