Labor Journeyperson

Job Summary
Haul, load, deliver, and remove surplus materials and equipment across district facilities while assisting skilled trades with general labor tasks. Operate district vehicles of various sizes, including large box trucks up to 26 feet, and use material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hydraulic lifts. Respond to emergency situations involving weather events, power outages, and fire-related cleanup. Execute work orders and maintain documentation with moderate independence, coordinating with maintenance shops and school sites as directed. Requires a valid Oklahoma driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to perform physically demanding work in extreme conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience in general labor, warehouse operations, or facilities support
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment
- Ability to safely operate district vehicles of various sizes, including large box trucks up to 26 feet
- Ability to operate hydraulic lifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying
- Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, and hauling procedures
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work effectively in extreme weather conditions and varying physical environments
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with or willingness to learn Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic paperwork processing
Desired Qualifications
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Previous experience using common hand tools and material-handling equipment
- Experience operating large vehicles including box trucks
