Job Summary
Cut grass to specific requirements using a push mower, remove debris, and operate a backpack blower to clear surfaced areas. Trim hedges, edge sidewalks and parking lots, and clean ramp areas with a grass/weed trimmer. Remove vines from fences and maintain cleared lines. Clean tools, working areas, and vehicles, performing basic service maintenance and conducting safety inspections before and after use. Follow all Federal, State, and Agency safety requirements while wearing appropriate safety equipment. Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting visitors in a positive, professional manner.
Required Qualifications
- current, valid driver's license
- automobile insurance coverage
- ability to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business
- ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience performing similar work
- Basic knowledge of and skilled in using various landscaping hand and power tools
- Reading and comprehension skills
- ability to analyze, evaluate situations, and develop alternatives for conflict resolution
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance tools & equipment
- equivalent combination of education, experience and/or military training
