Job Summary
Cut grass to specific requirements using a push mower, remove debris, and dispose of trash at the collection point. Operate a backpack blower to clear surfaced areas and use a grass/weed trimmer for slopes, canals, ditches, and rough terrain. Trim hedges, shrubs, and edges along sidewalks, curbs, parking lots, and other surfaced areas. Remove vines from fences and maintain cleared fence lines. Clean tools, working areas, and vehicles; perform basic service maintenance and conduct thorough inspections before and after equipment use. Follow all safety requirements, wear safety equipment, and exercise extreme caution when operating machinery on slopes. Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting visitors in a positive, professional manner.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
- Must have automobile insurance coverage
- Must be able to travel as needed if you drive your vehicle during company business
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience performing similar work
- Basic knowledge of and skilled in using various landscaping hand and power tools
- Reading and comprehension skills
- Ability to analyze, evaluate situations, and develop alternatives for conflict resolution
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance tools & equipment
- Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or military training
