Job Summary
Labor & Employment Paralegal in Phoenix (hybrid, in-office expectation until proficiency demonstrated). Provides organizational and practice-specific support to attorneys from case onset through post-trial, including discovery, document reviews, subpoenas, FOIA requests, and trial preparation. Responsibilities include handling deposition prep, propounding/responding to discovery, coordinating filings, maintaining trial calendars, and ensuring proper service. Requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, exceptional organization, and the ability to work with senior leadership and staff. Familiarity with Relativity, ESI, and AI tools (Co-Pilot, CoCounsel, ChatGPT) and proficiency with Windows/Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook. Collaborative, client-focused mindset with effective communication across teams; willingness to work flexible hours as needed. Reports to the Business Director and is based in the Phoenix office on a hybrid basis.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate in Paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred
- 3-5 years of paralegal experience; preference for large law firm experience
- Knowledge of legal terminology, forms and documents (including pleadings & discovery)
- Familiarity with Relativity and ESI projects
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with AI software including Co-Pilot, CoCounsel and ChatGPT
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client-service mindset
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
