Job Summary
Serve as the scrub person and surgical assistant during labor and delivery procedures, assisting the RN as an assistant circulator across patient populations from newborns to adults. Provide hands-on support in both routine and emergency situations and cross-train as a Patient Care Technician to deliver exceptional care when deliveries are not in progress. This role requires a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program with OB scrub experience and BLS certification, working a rotating schedule with a bi-weekly minimum of 12 hours. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (Technical College or equivalent)
- Surgical Technologist Certification (required for graduates after 2008)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- OB Scrub Experience
- A calm, focused presence
- A passion for patient-centered care
- Must be available to work at least 12 hours every two weeks (bi-weekly minimum)
