Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit delivering patient-centered obstetric care. Provides prenatal education, assists with labor, administers medications including analgesia and epidurals, monitors fetal well-being with electronic fetal monitoring, and collaborates with physicians and the care team to implement individualized care plans. Maintains safety and infection control standards, documents care and education, and supports postpartum and newborn care, breastfeeding education, and family planning. Exercises professional judgment in planning and delivering care, participates in audits and performance-improvement initiatives, and maintains attendance per unit policies.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
