Job Summary
The LDRP Nurse is responsible for providing independent patient care throughout labor and delivery, recovery, antepartum, and postpartum processes. Key responsibilities include assessing patient needs, organizing and prioritizing care, implementing individualized care plans, and communicating with interdisciplinary teams. The role requires flexibility in patient assignments, participation in quality improvement activities, and providing education to patients and families. The position also demands leadership qualities, mentorship of less experienced staff, and adherence to established nursing standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in Maryland or compact state
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- BLS certification
- NRP certification upon hire or within 90 days
- C-EFM certification upon hire or within 1 year
- 1-2 years of RN acute care experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in antepartum nursing
- Experience in fetal heart monitoring (C-EFM)
