Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in Women and Infants units including Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, Birth Center, and NICU while adhering to AWHONN and AACN practice standards. Prioritize patient wellness, evidence-based practice, and multidisciplinary team approaches to achieve exceptional outcomes. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and contribute to safety and quality at the point of care. Support individualized specialty education and competency validation through clinical educators during orientation. Maintain current BLS certification and complete NRP within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
