Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, Birth Center, and NICU units across Highlands Ranch, Longs Peak, and University of Colorado hospitals. Utilize the nursing process to deliver evidence-based practice while modeling proficiency by precepting new clinicians. Support a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes, prioritizing patient wellness and safety at the point of care. Complete required certifications including NRP within six months and maintain current BLS/CPR credentials. Work full-time 72-hour shifts in day/night rotations with night incentives, reporting to Clinical Educators for competency validation.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
