Job Summary
Represent employers in labor and employment disputes by researching complex legal issues and drafting motions, briefs, and pleadings. Take and defend depositions while assisting with trial preparation and proceedings. Advise clients on employment-related risks and counsel on counseling matters, including wage and hour class actions, discrimination claims, harassment, and wrongful termination. Collaborate with attorneys across a growing national practice to manage matters with increasing responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- 4–8 years of labor and employment experience
- Experience with both employment counseling and litigation
- Experience handling wage and hour class actions
- Experience with single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination matters
- Strong legal research and motion-drafting skills
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Trial and/or substantial trial-preparation experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong academic and professional credentials
- Active admission to the California Bar
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with restrictive covenants and/or traditional labor matters
