Job Summary
Deliver safe nursing care in Labor and Delivery by applying the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to independently care for patients. Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality outcomes, communicate with professionalism, and engage in unit/organizational activities. Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability, serving as a resource to the patient care team while upholding the nursing image. Requires graduation from an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program with Texas RN licensure (compact accepted) and BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications; at least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience in an acute care setting. BSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NRP Certifications
- 1-year of clinical Labor and Delivery experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting
