Job Summary
Labeling QC/Utility role at Seneca Foods: operate label machines, de-palletizers, casers, and forklift to move materials; perform labeling quality checks and report discrepancies; handle reclaim of damaged products; provide backup forklift support; assist with packing, palletizing, and organizing materials; maintain GMP cleanliness; learn and operate Can De-palletizer, Label Machine, Caser Machine, Auto Stacker, and P244 inventory system; perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues; work Monday–Friday 4:30 pm–6:00 am with overtime as needed; emphasis on safety, accuracy, teamwork, detail orientation, and continuous process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift cased items up to 50 pounds throughout the day
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Must understand the layout of warehouses at Payette
- Must have working knowledge of, or ability to learn, inventory scanners
- Must be familiar with Seneca coding for brite items
- Must have basic math skills
- Must pay attention to detail and ensure quality standards are met
- Must be self-motivated and a team player with the ability to work in many different areas with minimal supervision
- Must have a positive approach to job tasks, including excellent punctuality and attendance
- Takes initiative and proactively seeks opportunities to improve processes and stay productive
- Values accountability and strives for continual self-improvement
- Comfortable working both in a team environment and independently
- Effective written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
