Job Summary
Label Room Operator is responsible for printing, organizing, and managing production labels to support manufacturing operations. The role ensures labels are accurate, printed on time, and aligned with production schedules, while maintaining quality and inventory control within the label room. Essential functions include printing and preparing labels for production orders, verifying label accuracy (part numbers, descriptions, barcodes, quantities), maintaining organization of labels for different product lines (including steel panels and components), operating label printing systems and barcode software, monitoring label inventory, supporting urgent label requests, troubleshooting basic printer or system issues, maintaining a clean and organized label room workspace, and completing documentation and label records. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and may prefer 1+ year of related experience, plus strong attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of manufacturing, production support, or administrative experience preferred
- Experience with label printing systems or ERP systems (preferred)
- Basic computer skills (data entry, printing systems)
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication with production teams
- Standing and walking throughout shift
- Occasional lifting (up to 25–30 lbs)
