Job Summary
Monitor department quality control policies, document instrument calibrations, and maintain stocked supplies. Correlate laboratory methods and patient results with age-specific criteria while addressing safety and psychological needs. Establish service priorities, implement workflow patterns, and evaluate departmental performance to recommend improvements. Work weekends and holidays as scheduled. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology and NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure. Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school
- Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
- Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Good oral and written communication skills essential
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology preferred
- Hospital experience desired
