Job Summary
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization, positioning and immobilizing patients on examining tables. Assist physicians with specialized procedures, including instilling enzymes or inserting balloons to remove plaque, while monitoring multichannel data analysis systems for blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration. Enter technical factors into computers, activate fluoroscopes and cinefluorography cameras, and provide clear discharge instructions to patients. Maintain accurate documentation adhering to program standards and monitor environmental factors for safety. Requires Radiologic Tech (RT) license, BLS certification, and experience in cath lab or special procedures. Located in Gridley, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Experience in Cath Lab or Special Procedures
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
