Lab Technologist - Day shift weekends

Job Summary
Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization, positioning and immobilizing patients on examining tables. Assist physicians with specialized procedures, including instilling enzymes or inserting balloons to remove plaque, while activating fluoroscopes and cinefluorography to guide catheters. Enter technical factors into computer systems, monitor multichannel data analysis screens for blood pressure and respiration, and alert physicians to patient response changes. Provide procedure explanations and discharge instructions, maintain accurate documentation, and control environmental factors like temperature and electrical safety. Requires Radiologic Tech (RT) licensure and BLS certification; day shift weekend schedule available.
Required Qualifications
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Experience in Cath Lab or Special Procedures
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
