Lab Technician

Job Summary
Lab Technician performs process control sample collection, sample analysis, and modification of chemical parameters to support finishing processes throughout production. This is a 3 month term position with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities include collecting samples per defined plan, analyzing samples, taking corrective action, adjusting chemical parameters and calibrations on equipment, maintaining labware and equipment for accuracy, and ensuring PPE compliance. Requires 1+ years of lab experience in manufacturing environments, high school diploma or GED (or chemistry/microbiology diploma), proficiency in basic math and English, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and ability to read technical documents and prints. Requires attendance and uniform compliance and the ability to pass background check and drug test.

- Be organized, rational, dependable, responsive and team focused.
- Be proficient in basic math.
- Have a significant working knowledge of chemistry and laboratory methods.
- Be proficient in written and oral English.
- Be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and prints to determine processes and sequence of operations.
- Have 1+ years’ experience in lab functions within manufacturing environments and with chemical finishing processes and equipment.
- Have a high school diploma or GED, or diploma in chemistry or microbiology.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
