Job Summary
Lab Technician responsible for accurate and timely analysis of routine and non-routine raw materials, in-process, and finished product samples; supports site safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives; leads selected operational improvement projects; utilizes MS Word, MS Excel, LabWare LIMS, and data collection software; develops and validates analytical methods; maintains 5S and lab housekeeping; troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation (GC, HPLC, IC, TOC, ICP, pH meters, FTIR, spectrophotometers, titrators); communicates technical questions across shifts; participates in Emergency Response Team duties and adheres to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements; training for regulatory and hazardous waste procedures within six months of employment; requires flexibility for overtime and off-shift work.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
- Must be able to interact and communicate with production personnel and supervision
- Must be able to provide accurate and timely analytical results while dealing with multiple and ever-changing priorities
- Requires regular, dependable attendance
- Works overtime as required to meet Key X’s
