Job Summary
Conduct environmental monitoring program sampling for air, swabs, steam, and water using aseptic techniques and Good Manufacturing Practices. Perform microbiological sampling in the production environment, prepare collection tools, and complete all required documentation. Execute housekeeping duties including waste disposal and laboratory sanitation while maintaining compliance with FDA, OSHA, and Abbott regulations. Work the third shift from Sunday through Thursday with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks to meet required sampling frequencies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- 1 year of manufacturing or laboratory experience (Laboratory experience may be through post-high school courses)
- Working knowledge of operations in a GMP setting
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Solid computer skills
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
