Job Summary
Lab Technician in a chocolate manufacturing setting performing quality assurance activities: conducting quality inspections, investigating root causes, training team members, and ensuring documentation compliance. Roles include inventory management, audit preparation, and supporting plant food-safety and quality objectives under GMP/FSQA guidelines; responsibilities span from batching, weighing and dispensing raw materials to coordinating with QA/Production for timely batch delivery, with emphasis on accuracy, sanitation, and adherence to SOPs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication skills (read, write, and speak English)
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills including MS Office
- Able to multi-task, prioritize and be detail oriented
- Experience with organizing batch set ups
- Self-motivated and teamwork oriented
- Able to prioritize daily schedules
- Able to read formulas, order raw materials, do monthly inventory
- Must be able to differentiate between colors and changes in colors
