Lab Technician I

Job Summary
Perform testing in accordance with published test methods, document results in the LIMS, and generate reports for distribution. Conduct physical, mechanical, and chemical testing on current and new product designs, working closely with Engineering to ensure specifications are tested effectively and efficiently. Manage setup photographs, use measuring equipment (height gauges, surface plates, indicators, calipers, micrometers, gage blocks), participate in Lean / 5S / Six Sigma initiatives, and maintain an organized workspace. Requires 1-3 years in engineering/testing/manufacturing of medical devices and a High School Diploma or equivalent; travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in engineering, testing, or manufacturing of medical devices
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, industry specifications, and testing protocols
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe (PDF) and LIMS
- Proficient with basic laboratory tools and instruments (calipers, gages, vision systems, tensile testers)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and efficiency
- Willingness to travel as the business needs
Desired Qualifications
