Job Summary
Obtain samples for testing from various facility locations and follow established lab procedures to accurately test and report results on customer provided samples, raw materials, flush totes, water, and finished products. Perform batch production correction and lab scale blending, while maintaining record keeping, sample retention, and document retention. Complete and submit appropriate documentation, generate certificates of analysis, and prepare and mail customer requested product samples and fluid analysis program sample kits. Communicate sample analysis status to co-workers and organize working environment cleanliness. Perform calibration and verification of lab equipment, initiate non-conformance processes for non-conforming products, and conduct root cause investigations as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in chemical technology or related field
- Equivalent amount of job experience and college level Chemistry oriented lab
- 3+ years laboratory experience in a quality laboratory or similar laboratory setting
- Experience utilizing QC/QA concepts & techniques
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot multiple analytical instrumentation within the laboratory
- Ability to visually differentiate between colors and shades of colors
- Ability to differentiate common odors of base antifreeze components
- Forklift driving
- Movement of products within the facility
