Lab Technician I - Metals

Prepare samples for analysis according to SGS' analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies. Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments and equipment. Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions and operations. Maintain the laboratory notebook where applicable and adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures. Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets and ensure hold times and turnaround times are met. This entry-level role begins after Thanksgiving with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 10:00am-7:00pm, with overtime eligibility.
