Job Summary
Process samples, perform routine and high-level laboratory testing, and assist in method validation while conducting testing per ARL SOPs and method verifications. Record data, analyze results, and calculate interpretations to maintain accurate laboratory records and document findings. Classify and label samples according to protocol, supervise maintenance on laboratory equipment, and ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, and ISO regulations. Clean and sterilize workspaces, manage waste, and communicate testing status and issues to management. Complete all training and proficiency testing within required timeframes, assist with SOP creation, and adapt to changing scheduling demands in a fast-paced environment. Available to work five days a week including weekends, with weekend availability required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related field
- Analytical chemistry experience
- Fluency in English
- U.S. work authorization
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in GMP/GLP environment
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related field
- Minimum Experience: In-depth knowledge and advanced knowledge of laboratory techniques and advanced understanding of laboratory procedures
- Able to converse fluently in English, verbally and in writing
- Able to complete work on time and meet changing scheduling demands, depending on sample load
- Competency in industry-specific or industry-related laboratory techniques and procedures
- Good understanding of laboratory information systems and laboratory equipment
- Abide by ARL's drug testing, background check, and drug-free policies
- Available to work 5 days a week, and available to work weekends

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with HPLC, GC, ICP-MS, fiber analyzer, and FTIR
- Knowledge of metric system, scientific applications, experimental design, and data evaluation
- Clear understanding of the importance of maintaining a clean workspace by following approved procedures and laboratory regulations for testing, health, and safety
- Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs
