Job Summary
Lab Technician (ES) performs standardized qualitative and quantitative assays on food products and other samples, including microbiological, chemical, and physical analyses. Responsibilities include preparing standards and reagents, maintaining lab materials and equipment, calibrating instruments, logging and entering data, and generating graphs/reports to verify product quality and regulatory compliance. Requires 1+ years of experience or a 2-year degree; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred. Work location is Mount Olive, NC, on-site at a Butterball facility or corporate lab, with emphasis on accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role and a Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Two Year Degree/ Animal Science, Poultry, Biology, and Microbiology
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (preferred)
