Job Summary
Lab Technician at Central Ozarks Medical Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. Responsibilities include collecting and preparing blood samples, assisting in maintaining laboratory and radiology areas, maintaining equipment and supplies inventory with requisitions, and recording and labeling specimens. Requires comfort with computer hardware/software, strong communication skills for medical records, adherence to medical standards, and CPR/BLS certification (or certification during probation). Education: GED or high school diploma; phlebotomy experience preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA and 340B regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Must be comfortable using computer hardware and software as well as computerized equipment.
- Must be motivated to serve the needs of patients and perform services to benefit people and Central Ozarks Medical Center.
- Must possess a sense of discipline to work in accordance with accepted medical standards.
- Must possess reading and verbal skills necessary to understand and communicate, regarding medical records and laboratory procedures.
- CPR/BLS certified or become certified during probationary period and maintain certification throughout employment with COMC.
