Lab Technician - B Crew

Lab Technician – B Crew responsible for planning and scheduling testing activities, collecting samples, and performing comprehensive quality tests on raw ingredients, in-process materials, and finished dairy products to ensure adherence to HP Hood quality standards. Responsibilities include performing physical, biological, chemical, and organoleptic tests (e.g., butterfat/solids, cryoscopy, pH, brix, viscosity-related measures), maintaining certification for Beta-Lactam antibiotic testing, calibrating laboratory equipment, recording and validating test data, verifying non-conforming products and issuing holds, ensuring proper sanitation verification, maintaining inventory and documentation, and training junior technicians to meet regulatory and internal specifications. The role requires morning, afternoon, and overnight availability, with a typical 40-hour schedule and potential for additional hours. Requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent credit hours toward BS in Science, with a BS preferred, and no current sponsorship for work authorization.
