Job Summary
Lab Technician responsible for back-up support to the Manufacturing Engineer/Technical Manager; conducts material and strap testing per documented standards, maintains static/dynamic/flame testing equipment, creates/updates testing work instructions, prepares certificates of conformance, generates test reports, and maintains quality records per ISO 9001 & 17025. Analyzes samples and test data, records deficiencies or nonconformities, and contributes to corrective/preventative actions. The role supports continuous improvement of laboratory and quality activities, adheres to safety and quality policies, and requires reading measuring instruments, strong math, and proficient English communication.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Associates Degree or higher preferred
- Mechanical background preferred
- Experience writing technical documents such as test reports and work instructions
- Knowledge of statistics and ability to identify shifts/trends in data
- Must be able to read measuring instruments
- Demonstrated mathematical aptitude
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and willing to be flexible
- Must be able to distinguish between colors
- Safety sensitive position
- Able to read, write and fluently communicate in English
