Job Summary
Grade finished product for all lines and communicate out-of-grade situations to the Team Leader. Perform dispositions of out-of-grade product, conduct quality grading checks on the assigned line (typically 2 checks per hour), and perform CCP checks for lines one and two. Follow all plant safety policies, participate in safety programs, and perform risk assessments. Train backups and new lab techs, perform daily filing and review of Q.A. data, and maintain a neat, clean work area adhering to GMPs. Rotate through all lab tech positions and complete any special projects assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Sanitation qualification
- Ability to accurately use the following equipment, and/or tools, including but not limited to: blender, weighing apparatus, pipettes, grinder, fryers, microwave, length grader, thermometer, dicromat, Minolta, Agtron, silver nitrate, and NIR
- Ability to use a computer for data entry, report generation and research
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook
- Practice proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques
- Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being performed
- Actively practice and abide by all Company work, safety, and personal hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan
