Job Summary
Lab Tech I position in Valparaiso, IN performing sampling, testing, measuring, and analyzing results for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Responsibilities include coordinating with Production to maintain product quality, maintaining lab equipment (repairs, calibrations, standardizations), providing technical support to other business lines, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The role requires working safely, organizing work areas, monitoring equipment, performing laboratory tests across Physical, Chemical, Magnetic, Chemical Purity, Color, and Microbial test systems, maintaining lab cleanliness, assisting with test method development, R&D support, sample requests, training of new personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prefer 2 years’ experience in an industrial lab setting
- Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Good communication/teamwork skills
- Demonstrate an understanding of laboratory operations
