Job Summary
Prepare samples using standard techniques and perform chemical analysis to support the analytical testing process. Calculate data, preserve samples, document procedures, and communicate results while disposing of materials according to established guidelines. Review and process logs, documents, databases, and related information to maintain department efficiency. Offer suggestions to improve customer service and demonstrate courteous behavior when interacting with staff and clients.
Required Qualifications
- BS in a biology, chemistry or equivalent science field, as with 2 years experience or HS diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of lab support experience
- Computer applications and systems related to the work
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Mobility to work in a lab and office setting, use standard office and lab equipment
