Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS primary responsibility is to assist with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician. Responsibilities include assisting in teaching and orientation of students and new staff; acting as monitor tech during procedures and interpreting basic/advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs; operating imaging equipment as a scrub tech; assisting as a circulator; transporting patients; maintaining sterile technique; stocking and inventory; and preparing patients and lab for procedures. Requires on-call daytime coverage, an associate or bachelor’s degree in science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience, and relevant licenses/certifications (ACLS, RCIS within 18 months or ARRT/TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS). Location noted: Plano, TX.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience
  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
  • RCIS certified within eighteen (18) months of date of hire OR ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS
  • Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred)
