Job Summary
Lab Tech Assistant performs pre-analytical and analytical laboratory duties, including registering and accessioning orders, verifying specimen acceptability, and conducting established laboratory procedures. Responsibilities include phlebotomy and specimen collection to ensure proper processing, maintaining inventory, stocking, waived testing, slide preparation, and supporting technologists with instrument loading, reagent preparation, thawing, pooling, importing, and issuing blood products. Requires high school diploma or GED; associates in biology or chemistry favored; travel to off-site locations may be required; patient-facing duties and strong customer service in a fast-paced lab environment are expected.
