Job Summary
Perform sample processing, exempt screening, and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS, OSHA, and Georgia Department of Community Health standards. Execute venipunctures and obtain or prepare blood specimens per Piedmont policies, while assisting technical staff with non-clinical tasks. Requires one year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor, or assistant; current enrollment in a Medical Technologist program may substitute for experience. Nights shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED
- One (1) year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor or laboratory assistant
- Current enrollment in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes
- Experience in performing EKGs
- Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
