Lab Support Technician II

Lab Support Technician II performs standard laboratory tasks under general supervision, may perform phlebotomy and waived testing, and handles clerical support for the laboratory. Responsibilities include loading/unloading specimens from instrumentation, processing and labeling specimens, entering lab orders in the LIS/EMR, maintaining supplies and work area, answering phones and assisting customers, admission activities, insurance verification, and general data entry and administrative duties. Requires High School diploma/GED (or 10 years’ experience), 1 year of laboratory experience, and BLS HCP certification. Work shifts are variable with nights/weekends; position is PRN/part-time.
